Missing (Nanaimo, B.C.) girl, 16, may be in Lower Mainland with man in his 50s

A 16-year-old Nanaimo girl is missing and is believed to be in the company of a man in his 50s, say police.

Makayla Chang, 16, was last seen in Nanaimo on March 19. Her family and friends said she is usually very active on social media but has not posted anything since March 20. They have exhausted all leads to where she might be, said Nanaimo RCMP.Makayla Chang

Investigators are following a tip that Chang might have traveled to the Lower Mainland with a man in his early 50s, who goes by the name Steven Bacon. He is described as five foot ten and 210 lbs with white hair.Missing Nanaimo girl, 16, may be in Lower Mainland with man in his 50s

Chang is five foot one and an 110 lbs with dyed-red hair and hazel eyes. She is believed to have been wearing a gray hoodie and multi-coloured leggings with stars and planets.
