He is an English singer and actor and probably best known as a member of the British band BLUE with Lee Ryan, Antony Costa, and Simon Webbe from 2000 to 2005 and 2011 until present. He began his career as a child actor in commercials before directing several arthouse feature films. He first received international acclaim in 2009 for his debut feature I Killed My Mother (J’ai tué ma mère), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Director’s Fortnight. He has won many awards for his film work, including the Jury Prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for Mommy and the Grand Prix at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for It’s Only The End of the World. Born on June 12, 1991 (26) Croydon, London, England, Harry John Cook moved with his family at the age of ten to Sydney, Australia. Being brought up watching countless films and London West End stage shows, Harry’s dream was to become an actor.
It was during those early years in London that Harry caught the acting bug and began acting in StageCoach London theater productions of Oliver and Bugsy Malone.
Harry’s love of acting continued to grow after his move to Australia where he combined his school studies with acting classes at both the Northern Beaches Youth Theatre and the Point Break Drama Academy.
